In addition to great food, we host interesting speakers, view topical documentaries, and brainstorm and plan for upcoming events. Gourmet Vegan Thanksgiving

Come socialize with friends & neighbors while enjoying a delicious plant based feast prepared by Common Table chefs. 6p, November 20, Common Table, 150 NW Minnesota, Bend. Tickets are $30 and seating is limited. (Tickets for children age 6-12 are $15.00, children 5 and under eat free.) If you would like to attend and need financial assistance, please call 541-480-3017. Forks Over Knives screening

The film Forks Over Knives will be shown Saturday, November 12 at 2nd Street Theater in Bend. The major storyline in the film traces the personal journeys of a pair of researchers, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn as they examine the country’s three leading causes of death: heart disease, cancer, and stroke, and a host of other degenerative diseases. Admission: Free! Matinee 3:00 p.m., Evening 7:00 p.m. Enjoy healthy and delicious food samples courtesy of VegNet Bend and Whole Foods Market, 30 minutes prior to each viewing.
